Celebrated Turkish pianist IDIL BIRET is one of the most recorded classical music artists in history.

Having already recorded two Mozart concertos with WSO music director

JOHN GIBBONS and the LONDON MOZART PLAYERS, on 30th September 2018 the recording team came to Worthing.

Live from the Assembly Hall with full orchestra and audience, she recorded two further Mozart concertos – nos 25 and 27.

Idil Biret has had an extraordinary career spanning several decades.

A pupil of Nadia Boulanger, Afred Cortot and Wilhelm Kempff, she made her US debut as a 19 year old, playing Rachmaninoff’s Third Piano Concerto on the day of John F. Kennedy’s assassination.
